The Yuma County Sheriff's Posse is a volunteer organization doing business under the SHERIFF'S OFFICE LEAGUE OF VOLUNTEERS, INC. The Posse was asstablished in 1948 to support the Yuma County Sheriff's Department, Yuma AZ. It performed its functions under the corporate name YUMA COUNTY SHERIFF'S POSSE, INC. a 501(c)3 from 1948 to 2006. On Sep 2006 YCSP elected to change its name and break its ties with the Sheriff's Department. In Sep 2006 a new 501(c)3 THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE LEAGUE OF VOLUNTERRS, INC. was asstablished with child organizations - Yuma County Sheriff's Posse - Yuma County Sheriff's Volunteers - Yuma County Sheriff's Explorers and Yuma County Sheriff's Reserves.
S.O.L.V. DBA Yuma County Sheriff's Posse a volunteer group was re-established "To Support and Assist" the Yuma County Sheriff's Department and to continue the Posse heritage that had been established in 1948.
